Living Promises- The Kingdom Within

What if everything you seek is already within you?

What would your life be worth if you knew you were loved?

Not hoped. Not believed. Not wished.

Knew.

People spend their lives searching for happiness, acceptance, and meaning. They search through success, possessions, relationships, self-help programs, and religions.  Yet many still feel something is missing.

Living Promises offers a different possibility:

What if there is nothing outside you that is not already within you?

Living Promises offers eight principles for living with greater love, joy, courage, and gratitude. Through personal stories and reflections, Diamond Mike Watson invites readers on a journey inward to discover the extraordinary potential that has been there all along.

More than a book to read, Living Promises is a book to live.

The Living Promises begin and return at the same place:
Know you are loved.
Not because you are told or believe you are loved.
But because it has always been so.

“As you complete the circular journey of the Living Promises, you arrive where you have always been.  Every step you have taken and every thought you have held has been its unfolding.  And now, as you turn the final page, nothing new has been given- only revealed.  As you close this book, you may notice something profound:  the Kingdom is not a distant place to be found.  It has lived within you from the very beginning.” Excerpt from Living Promises.

A single idea in this book can change your day.
A single practice can change your year.
A single Promise can change your life.

The value of each Promise cannot be measured by the price of a book.

Knowing is the fruit in your hand and the taste on your tongue.
Knowing is the gulp of air after surfacing from deep water.
Knowing is the pinnacle of human certainty.

If these questions resonate with you, Living Promises may be the companion you have been seeking.

About the Author

Mike Watson was adopted as a child, an experience that shaped a lifelong search for identity and meaning. That early beginning led him not only to reconnect with his biological roots, but also to a deeper exploration of gratitude, love, and purpose.

In 1991, he founded Gallery of Diamonds jewelry company.

In 1993, he created the Why Mom Deserves a Diamond® contest, which has since invited tens of thousands of students to express gratitude, love, and appreciation through their words. For more than three decades, it has helped children, families, and educators reflect on the power of recognition and heartfelt expression.

Through decades of both personal reflection and lived experience, Watson has continued to explore a central question: what does it mean to be loved, and how do we live from that awareness?

Living Promises is the culmination of that inward journey- thoughtfully detailing powerful principles that help us understand that peace, purpose, and wholeness have always been within us.

Excerpts

“There are many paths to the Kingdom.  The main difference is where this is sought.  Some find it in a realm outside themselves and in the future.  Since the unifying theme of this book is that the Kingdom is here and now, I am saddened by those who spend their entire lives overlooking a paradise that is right before their eyes. “

“You will be summoned by handsome trees framing a narrow path.  As you step inside, you are no longer a hiker- you are an explorer.  You will discover a bright flower.  As you lean to admire it, you are no longer a passive passenger of life- you are a conscious creator.  Peering closer, you will notice a small insect crawling inside the petals.  You are no longer a spectator- you are the guest in the Kingdom.

“The possibilities are endless in your becoming:
When you hum a new melody, you are the composer.
When you plant a seed, you are the gardener.
When you cook a meal, you are the master chef.
When you forgive, you are the liberator.

When you love, you are the architect of the world.
When you appreciate a sunset, you are the sunset.

“And lastly, you will transcend time.  When you peer at a star, you are gazing upon the past.   The star’s now and your now are not the same.

“You are no longer a stargazer- you are a time traveler.”
