The first Umbrella March was held on Diamond Day, 2017.  It began as public gesture to honor our mothers and all those who are significant in our lives.  Today, all attendees on Diamond Day can participate in the march following the award ceremony by parading around the nearby pond with raised umbrellas.  Nearby businesses peer from windows and await this annual event with anticipation.  The black and white umbrella has become a symbol of celebration of knowing we can achieve all things when we know we have been loved.
